New Hope Christian Church of Wayne

About New Hope

New Hope Christian Church held its first service on February 28, 2016 at the Freeport Banquet Hall in Wayne, Ohio. Over 140 people gathered that first Sunday to worship God together, hear His Word, and encourage each other. Since that first service, we continue to reach out to our community and discover the plans that God has for this church.

Our Mission

New Hope Christian Church exists to bring the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community.

Ministries We Support

New Hope Christian Church provides financial support to these local and global ministries:

What We Believe

We believe in one true and holy God (Deuteronomy 6:4).

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible word of God (2 Peter 1:21 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe the Godhead consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14 and John 1:1-3).

We believe that sin entered the world by one man, Adam, and brought death, both spiritual and physical, upon the human race (Genesis 2:17 and Romans 5:12).

We believe that salvation from sin is available to all men through faith in Jesus Christ's atoning death and resurrection
(John 3:16 and John 3:3-8).

We believe in water baptism to identify with Christ's death and resurrection
(Romans 6:3-4).

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct and subsequent experience to the new birth and is accompanied by the outward evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 8:16, Mark 16:17, Acts 2:4).

We believe in, practice, and encourage the manifestation of the Gifts of the Spirit, needful to confirm God's word and edify the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 1 Corinthians 1:4, Mark 16:20).
